University of North Texas System Center at Dallas
The Dallas branch of the North Texas University System is located just east of the city of Duncanville. The campus is an excellent provider of quality university level education on both the undergraduate and graduate levels in a wide variety of fields. Additionally, senior citizens may receive up to 6 free hours of credit courses each semester.

Dallas Baptist University
The Dallas Baptist University is located 7 miles northwest of the city of Duncanville. This Christian oriented university offers a variety of classes in several areas of study.

Northwood University
Northwood University is located just 5 miles south of Duncanville in the city of Cedar Hill. The university focus is upon current business issues and their applications in real life.

Mountain View College
Mountain View College is one of several campuses of the Dallas Community College District. Located just 5 miles north of Duncanville, Mountain View College provides the surrounding area with inexpensive community college education. Mountain View College also supports an extensive Continuing Education program. This includes more than 30 non-credit classes specifically designed for the needs and desires of the senior community. Cedar Valley College
Cedar Valley College is another option for those wishing to pursue coursework with the Dallas Community College District. The college is located 11 miles east of the city and is easily accessible by a short highway drive. This College also offers continuing education classes directed at senior citizens and older individuals.

For those seeking a university education of the highest caliber, the University of Texas at Arlington is a practical option. Located 15 miles away in the heart of Arlington, UTA is a leading provider of courses in a large and diverse range of subject matter.

INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM OF CULTURES
This museum seeks to celebrate the diversity of culture by presenting various educational programs, exhibits, and events highlighting culturally different communities. The museum was developed and founded by academics associated with the Summer Institute of Linguistics, the largest non-governmental linguistics research organization in the world.

DALLAS ZOO
The Dallas Zoo is conveniently located less than 10 miles northeast of the city of Duncanville. It hosts a large array of animals along with seasonal and periodic special events and features.

AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSEUM
The African American Museum is located 15 miles north near downtown Dallas in Fair Park, and is one of kind in the entire U.S. Southwest. Features include exhibitions of African American artistic, cultural and historical materials, and one of the largest African American folk art collections in the United States.

ARLINGTON MUSEUM OF ART
Located 15 miles northwest in downtown Arlington, the Arlington Museum of Art specializes in contemporary and Texas art and artists.

DALLAS HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Dallas Historical Society is located near downtown Dallas with the mission to preserve and exhibit historical materials of the area.

DALLAS HOLOCAUST MUSEUM
Another museum located around downtown Dallas, the museum serves to teach about the Holocaust and displays exhibitions highlighting this event in history.

DALLAS MUSEUM OF ART
The Dallas Museum of Art is the premier art museum of the area. Established in 1903, the museum houses over 23,000 works of art from all ages and historical periods. The museum also features special exhibits, and other popular programs and events.

THE MUSEUM OF NATURE AND SCIENCE
This museum is the combination of two former museums: the Science Place and the Museum of Natural History. The museum houses over 200,000 items from a broad range of natural and scientific subjects. It also houses a theater and planetarium, conducts scientific research, and has a broad range of educational opportunities.

SIXTH FLOOR MUSEUM
Located in downtown Dallas at the site of President Kennedyʹs assassination, the museum exhibit chronicles the life and death of JFK.

NASHER SCULPTURE CENTER
The Nasher Sculpture Center is located in the Dallas Arts district just 13 miles from the city of Duncanville. This center houses over 300 pieces of some of the finest sculptures in the country.
